What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your referral letter (if you have one), a list of current medications, your Medicare card, private health insurance details, and any previous eyewear or contact lenses. Also, if you have had previous eye tests or surgeries, any relevant reports or records would be helpful.

How long will my initial consultation take?

Your first appointment can last between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your condition. This includes time for a comprehensive eye examination and any necessary diagnostic tests, as well as a discussion about your treatment options.

Will I need someone to drive me home after my appointment?

It is advisable to arrange transportation if your eyes are to be dilated during the exam, as this can blur your vision for a few hours. Driving immediately after dilation is not recommended.

How do I know if my treatment will be covered by insurance?

Coverage can vary depending on your insurance provider and policy. We recommend contacting your insurance company prior to your appointment to understand your coverage. Our staff can provide the necessary information about the procedures or treatments recommended for your condition.
